GOLDEN JUBILEE YEAR CELEBRATION
Asocial commitment of the Apeejay Stya & Svran Group — Apeejay Education Society (AES) heralded the celebration of its Golden Jubilee year with a grand cultural extravaganza. The chief guest at the celebrations was NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul, Baron Paul of Marylebone. The event was presided over by Sushma Paul Berlia, chairman, Apeejay Education Society and president, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group.
AES has built a rich heritage of over five decades in the field of quality education through a family of 24 not-for-profit educational institutions, including the Apeejay Stya University.
All Apeejay Stya educational institutions have been instrumental in carrying forward the shared vision of ‘man-making and nation-building education of global standards’ of its founder chairman, Dr Stya Paul.
Dr Stya Paul’s legacy of excellence is being carried forward by his only child, Sushma Paul Berlia. Today, the Apeejay family comprises about 40,000 students, 60,000 alumni, over 3,000 faculty members and state-of-the-art infrastructure that provide education from pre-nursery to doctoral level.
Sharing the five-decadelong journey of AES, Sushma Paul Berlia congratulated and thanked all members of the Apeejay Stya family as well as those who have been associated with the group, in the past or present, directly or indirectly, contributing in myriad ways towards the 50 years of the success story of AES.
“For us at AES, the overarching mission has always been the pursuit of excellence. Today, let us make a commitment that while we cherish the glory of the last 50 years, we will not rest on our laurels and will continue to soar higher and higher,” she said.
Lord Swraj Paul also gave an emotional tribute to his elder brother and founder chairman of AES. “Dr Stya Paul was my mentor, father, brother, everything,” he said.
He also applauded the remarkable achievements of the Apeejay Education Society. He went on to appreciate the cultural delights of the evening presented by Apeejayites, through dance, music, and a stunning display of talent, which he said were as good as those of professionals.
