Tamannaah Bhatia’s love for dancing has motivated her to learn Bharatanatyam. In between her shooting schedule, the Baahubali actor tries to take out time for it. And the actor shares that she would love to do a film where she can put her talent to use.

“I have been thinking of learning dance for a long time as I enjoy dancing a lot. Thanks to my profession, I get to do it often. But, I decided to take formal training and have just started learning the Indian classical dance form, Bharatanatyam. Whenever I get time, I practise. The mudras and postures are, at times, a little difficult but I am having so much fun. I wish I get to work in a period film sometime soon where I might be able to showcase what I have learned,” says Tamannaah, who has done Bollywood films such as Chand Sa Roshan Chehra (2005), Humshakals (2014) and Entertainment (2014).

The actor shares that dancing helps her maintain her fitness as well. “I am also into yoga. But, since the time I have been learning Bharatanatyam, I feel fitter. After every practice session I feel happy from within. So in short, it is extremely satisfying,” she says.

At a time when everyone is so pressed for time, Tamannaah makes it a point to take out time for things that she loves. “Dance is a stress buster for me. But at the same time, I also need to unwind with family and friends. So, I make sure to attend family functions come what may. While in Mumbai, I catch up with my friends over lunch and dinner. I also watch movies back to back, like I watched Raazi, Mahanati, and a few more films, one after the other. I am also thinking of taking family holidays as often as possible. After all, I need to live my life, but that does not mean that it will hamper my work,” says Tamannaah.
