THE WRAP STARS!
Having a bad day? Vintage headcarves come to the rescue. We pick some stylish headscarf looks celebrities are sporting this season - take your pick
Do you remember American graphic artist J Howard Miller’s ‘We can do it’ poster featuring a woman posing in a red headscarf with white polka dots? Reportedly, misidentified as Rosie the Riveter, a cultural icon representing the women who worked in factories and shipyards during World War II, the look was recently donned by actor Vanessa Hudgens for one of her Instagram posts.
Sporting the vintage wrapping of the headscarf seems to have got the attention of many celebrities. “Everything old school is making its way back, it’s no surprise that the head scarf is here,” says artist Jayesh Sachdev. The scarf is mostly made in cotton, silks and crepe. “These [scarves] are light in weight, drape well and are suitable for all weather types. It is sufficiently warm in the cold and doesn’t make you hot in the summer. I personally love the funky bow head scarf. It’s classic, feminine and pretty,” adds Sachdev.
Call it a comeback or the perfect solution to a bad hair day, this trend has definitely made a stylish re-entry this year.
