Joseph Kahn attacks K-Pop boys for nip-tuck
Korean-American film and music video director Joseph Junhee Kahn has accused BTS members of having undergone plastic surgery.
BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a sevenmember South Korean group that debuted in 2013 and rose to fame with their hit albums, including Dark and Wild, and The Most Beautiful Part in Life, Part 2. The band comprises musicians V, Jeon JungKook, Jimin, Jin, Suga, RM and J-Hope.
Recently, Kahn took to Twitter, and shared some controversial remarks on BTS, which has garnered criticism from their fans, reports metro.co.uk.
He posted a photo of the boys and wrote, “They all have plastic surgery. They all wear lipstick. This is what crazy rich Asians actually look like.” Resharing his tweet, the Without Me music video director continued saying that boys were searching for the ‘pretty boy’ look and ‘they want to look like idols or celebrities.’
Aretha Franklin is believed to be “gravely ill”, and her wellwishers, including Mariah Carey and Missy Elliott, have been offering prayers for the iconic soul singer.
The 76-year-old singer was diagnosed with cancer in 2010, and delivered her most recent performance at the Elton John AIDS Foundation party in New York last November.
At the time of going to press, she was surrounded by her loved ones and resting at home, her nephew Tim Franklin was quoted as saying by People magazine. He said, “We believe she’ll pull through it, she believes she’ll pull through it, and that’s the important thing.”
Meanwhile, noted names from the music industry have been praying for her, and paying tribute to the veteran and her legacy. Franklin has won 17 Grammy awards, as well as three special recognitions from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and even received a Golden Globe award for Never Gonna Break My Faith.
Beyonce dedicated her performance on Monday evening with husband Jay Z to the Queen of Soul, drawing a thunderous roar from Franklin’s hometown of Detroit. Opening the show, DJ Khaled played one of Franklin’s biggest hits, Respect. AGENCIES
