DELHI’S CONNECT TO URDU POETRY
This evening was all about rediscovering the world of Urdu poetry, as lawyer-writer Saif Mahmood, unveiled his book, Beloved Delhi: A Mughal City and Her Greatest Poets. The book documents the life and works of some of the finest Urdu poets from Delhi. Politicians and renowned names from the literary circuit attended the launch, including former Vice-President of India Mohammad Hamid Ansari, former union minister Salman Khurshid, authors William Dalrymple and Rakhshanda Jalil.
