Centrally located, but...

We moved here in 1992 when it was still newly built. There was a lot of greenery around, the water supply was good and not many malls adorned the landscape of Vasant Kunj. There were few people, and fewer cars. The past decade has seen drastic changes in this part of the town. Now, there are too many people, too many cars and too less water. The infrastructure is in a mess. However, there are a lot of advantages of staying here. For instance, Vasant Kunj has some of the best schools in Delhi in the vicinity. The airport is a few kilometers away. There are world-class malls which provide for entertainment and eating out. Cleanliness is an issue. There is a huge slum right across the road, where I stay which is an eyesore. Also, there are major issues with respect to parking. No day passes without haggling with the neighbours about parking woes. Security also needs major attention and needs to be beefed up.
