‘I got a 15-gram gold chain when I booked my flat’

Ibought a 2BHK flat during summer Navratra in April this year. According to the festive offer, buyers were given a 15-gram gold chain worth R45,000 with every flat booking. It was a good deal for me because I wanted to buy a flat in Faridabad. My first priority was a readyto-move-in flat because I couldn’t afford to buy a flat in an under-construction project and pay EMI and rent simultaneously. Since ready-to-move-in flats were beyond my budget, I started looking for a property where I could get possession as soon as possible.

I narrowed down my search to SRS Residency as the construction was going on at that time and a few of its towers were almost ready. I feel lucky that within six months of my purchase, I got the possession of my flat. I have got a reasonably good deal and I also got jewellery worth R45,000. SRS Residency is a group housing project in Sector 88, Greater Faridabad. The project has 12 towers consisting of 1040 residential units in two and three bedroom options, spread across 15.06 acres in the upcoming sectors of Faridabad. The residential complex is situated next to the proposed SRS University.

I work as a clerk in Bharat Petroleum in Ballabhgarh so my current residence is just 22km from my office. Earlier, I was residing in Gurgaon and was travelling 70km one way daily. Now, I am getting more time to spend with my family and my travel expenses have come down considerably. The flats are quite spacious here. My 2BHK flat is spread across 1304 sq ft area and it’s quite airy. It has four balconies, all of them open to green surroundings. I hope the developer will not change the present layout of the project. I have seen how developers tinker with plans overnight and encroach upon the green area for other construction purposes. If this happens, the complex will lose its charm.

At the moment, possession has been offered in nine towers and approximately 250 families are residing here. We believe that Navratra is an auspicious time to make an investment. I know people who put their decisions on hold and wait for this time. When we make a huge investment like this, for us, Goddess Durga’s blessings are as important as due diligence.
