DLF City (Phases I, II and III) is a good rental market for those looking to move to Gurgaon
DLF City Phase 1 is wellconnected with major metro stations like Sikanderpur, Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road and Guru Dronacharya. Both the MG and Gurgaon-Faridabad roads touch it. When it launches the Rapid Metro, stations will be connected to DLF City Phase 1 near Sikanderpur. Cyber City, one of the main business districts and employment hubs, is located here and DT Cinemas, Sahara mall, etc, are the key entertainment and shopping zones. In spite of the attractions, however, problems related to waterlogging and electricity cuts persist.
Rentals here are not that cheap. You can get 1RK/BHK 650 sq ft apartments from R7000 per month to R15,000; and 1 and 2BHK 650 to 1150 sq ft apartments from R15,000 to R25,000 per month. The rent for 2 and 3BHK 150 sq ft to 1800 sq ft apartments ranges from R25,000 to R40,000 per month, while for 3 BHK of 1800 sq ft and more apartments, get ready to pay R40,000 per month. This is exclusive of maintenance charges which vary depending on size of apartment and services offered. It normally starts from R750 per month. Additional charges for water and electricity also have to be paid. DLF City Phase 2, Sector 25, is the commercial hub of DLF City. It is located on the arterial road of DLF City and considered to be one of Gurgaon’s more posh areas. Major roads such as MG Road and Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway are close by. It is also close to DLF City-I, Shahpur, commercial centres, hospitals and the upcoming rapid metro station. Autos are easily available here. Presence of MNCs, entertainment hubs like DT City Centre, Sahara Mall, etc, are the added advantages.
Residential rentals start from R7,000 per month for 1RK/BHK 350 sq to 600 sq ft units and go up to R15,000. While 1 and 2 BHK 600 sq ft to 1200 sq ft apartments can be rented out for R15,000 to R25,000 per month, you will have to pay R25,000 to R40,000 per month for 2 and 3 BHK apartments of size 1200 sq ft to1700 sq ft. The rent for 3 BHK units of size 1700 sq ft and above starts from R40,000 per month. Maintenance charge starts from R1000 per month and varies depending on size and amenities provided. Individual houses and independent/ builder floor are preferred in this locality. DLF phase III is very close to the Delhi-Haryana border (Kapashera Border), NH-8, Cyber City, etc.

For 1 and 2 BHK units of size 650 sq ft to 1200 sq ft, the rent is likely to start from R15,000 to R25,000 per month, while for 2 and 3 BHK apartments up to 1750 sq ft, you would probably have to pay anything between R25,000 to R40,000 per month. The rent for a 3BHK unit of 1750 sq ft, is likely to be beyond R40,000 a month. This is exclusive of maintenance charges, water and electricity costs.
