‘Plans for seven in­dus­trial cities okayed’

What are the plans for the Khushkhera-Bhi­wadi-Neem­rana In­vest­ment Re­gion Dur­ing the first phase of Delhi-Mum­bai In­dus­trial Cor­ri­dor (DMIC) pro­ject, the govern­ment has ap­proved de­vel­op­ment of seven in­dus­trial cities. The seven cities in­clude Dadri-NoidaG­hazi­abad In­vest­ment Re­gion, Mane­sar-Bawal In­vest­ment Re­gion, Khushkhera-Bhi­wadiNeem­rana In­vest­ment Re­gion and Ahmed­abad-Dholera In­vest­ment Re­gion.

The Khushkhera-Bhi­wadiNeem­rana In­vest­ment Re­gion is com­ing up be­tween 10 vil­lages be­tween Shah­ja­han­pur in Ra­jasthan and the Haryana state cor­ri­dor. Around 6000 bighas are be­ing ac­quired for the pur­pose. This will have mixed land use – res­i­den­tial, com­mer­cial and an ed­u­ca­tion city. The ed­u­ca­tion city and the in­dus­trial area will be de­vel­oped un­der the first phase. It will take at least three years to com­plete the first phase Are there other in­fra­struc­ture plans in the pipe­line? A six-lane ex­press­way within Ra­jasthan from Neem­rana to Ta­pukhera has been ap­proved. Land ac­qui­si­tion work is cur­rently on. A cargo air­port is also planned. The avi­a­tion depart­ment has given its in- prin­ci­ple ap­proval for it. A new high­way par­al­lel to NH8 has also been planned. To be called Del­hiJaipur Ex­press High­way, it will be 230 km long and is cur­rently in the plan­ning stages. Three new cities will come up along this toll high­way. This has been in­cluded in the Shah­ja­han­purNeem­rana-Behror (SNB) Mas­ter Plan 2041. What about the IT and BPO com­pa­nies? Will they have a pres­ence in Neem­rana? As for the IT and BPO sec­tors, I am hope­ful that th­ese two sec­tors will also come up in Neem­rana in the next two to three years. Has the land cost ap­pre­ci­ated in the last few years? Three years ago the aver­age land cost was R2000 per sq m and the cur­rent price is around R5000 to R6000 per sq m.
