‘Plans for seven industrial cities okayed’
What are the plans for the Khushkhera-Bhiwadi-Neemrana Investment Region During the first phase of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project, the government has approved development of seven industrial cities. The seven cities include Dadri-NoidaGhaziabad Investment Region, Manesar-Bawal Investment Region, Khushkhera-BhiwadiNeemrana Investment Region and Ahmedabad-Dholera Investment Region.
The Khushkhera-BhiwadiNeemrana Investment Region is coming up between 10 villages between Shahjahanpur in Rajasthan and the Haryana state corridor. Around 6000 bighas are being acquired for the purpose. This will have mixed land use – residential, commercial and an education city. The education city and the industrial area will be developed under the first phase. It will take at least three years to complete the first phase Are there other infrastructure plans in the pipeline? A six-lane expressway within Rajasthan from Neemrana to Tapukhera has been approved. Land acquisition work is currently on. A cargo airport is also planned. The aviation department has given its in- principle approval for it. A new highway parallel to NH8 has also been planned. To be called DelhiJaipur Express Highway, it will be 230 km long and is currently in the planning stages. Three new cities will come up along this toll highway. This has been included in the ShahjahanpurNeemrana-Behror (SNB) Master Plan 2041. What about the IT and BPO companies? Will they have a presence in Neemrana? As for the IT and BPO sectors, I am hopeful that these two sectors will also come up in Neemrana in the next two to three years. Has the land cost appreciated in the last few years? Three years ago the average land cost was R2000 per sq m and the current price is around R5000 to R6000 per sq m.
