‘It’s extremely peaceful here’
Vinay Kumar, a software engineer, settled for a 1,550 sq ft 3 BHK apartment on the eight floor in the project KDP Grand Savanna located in Raj Nagar Extension after assessing the pros and cons of buying a property in other parts of Ghaziabad.
He zeroed in on this unit in Raj Nagar Extension primarily because he felt it offered better connectivity to the national Capital and was located in the heart of Ghaziabad city. Besides, the project that he has invested in has plenty of green space. “That was a deciding factor too. After all, this is my first home,” points out Kumar, who is from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
“I chose this property because it was located in a relatively peaceful area and was barely 2 km from the Ghaziabad railway station,” he says.
It was also within his budget. Kumar, who works in Noida, has taken a loan for the apartment and is paying an EMI of 26,000. “I did not face any problem in getting a home loan from a bank. I got it easily,” he points out.
On whether commuting will be a problem once he shifts to Raj Nagar Extension, Kumar agrees that he and his family would have to entirely depend on the family car as there is not much available in terms of public conveyance in the area. Besides, his office is located in Noida, which is close by.
Kumar got his apartment registered last month and is planning to move into it this festive season as it is considered an auspicious time to shift. He’s currently residing in Delhi and paying a rent of 10,000.
