‘Make police patrolling regular’

HT Estates - - HTESTATES -

Ihave been living in Ashok Vihar since childhood. We stayed in Phase 1 for several years before my family moved to Phase 3 more than five years ago. The area is conveniently located and is wellconnected to other parts of the city. The best thing about this area is its greenery with several parks in all phases. The societies here are wellconstructed and have their respective residents’ welfare associations. There are a number of eating joints, restaurants and shopping options for residents, the most popular one being Deep Market in Phase 1. In terms of amenities, the area has it all — power, water supply, public transport, markets, schools, banks and hospitals.

Some of the important issues that need to be dealt with include parking for residents, traffic snarls and safety. For residents of Phase 3 and those staying in Shakti Nagar Extension, the huge drain connecting Shakti Nagar to Ashok Vihar poses a series of problems. Though there is occasional police patrolling, steps should be taken to make it regular, especially during late hours.

We a l s o n e e d m o r e a u t o r i c k s h aw s to ply frequently in the area as commuting to other parts of the city becomes a hassle at times.

One can find all types of houses here including apartments and independent floors, which makes it unique. There are certain areas which need more streetlights. We also look forward to special functions organised by the local RWAs during festivals and other occasions. The civic body should also build more playgrounds for children. Overall, living here is peaceful but there is still room for improvement.
