Zone O under the Delhi Master Plan 2021 has all the requisite provisions that are required under the plan for river rejuvenation and river-dependent economic activities such as creation of transportation hubs and waterways, say experts.
I t c omprises a t ot al of 9700 hectares, out of which around 62 hectares comprises the Commonwealth Village, Akshardham temple and the infrastructure in and around the area.There are 980 hectares of existing unauthorised developments, 528 hectares left aside for recreational areas and a large area comprising 7,362 hectares is categorised under water bodies.
This can be used for river rejuvenation projects such as recreational activities and river dependent economic activities that include creating piers, transportation hubs and waterways, says Ramesh Menon of Certes Realty.. Residential A B Commercial
