In­ter­est­ingly, a slew of de­vel­op­ers in Delhi-NCR have stud­ied the mar­ket well and have started launch­ing units in the af­ford­able price range.

T h e Amr ap a l i Gro u p re­cently launched High Life 2 in Greater Noida which will com­prise 522 units of 1BHK con­fig­u­ra­tion. A 585 sq ft unit will cost the buyer around ₹ 25 lakh.

Gaur­sons also in­tends to launch 650 units in its ex­ist­ing pro­ject in Greater Noida West (Noida Ex­ten­sion) in the price range of ₹ 15 lakh to ₹ 20 lakh in a cou­ple of months. Th­ese units will be of sizes 450 sq ft, 550 sq ft and 750 sq ft, in­forms Manoj Gaur, CMD, Gaur­sons.

Sun City Projects has also re­cently launched an af­ford­able hous­ing pro­ject in Sec­tor

crore 102, Gur­gaon. On of­fer are 670 units com­pris­ing 2BHK units of sizes 518 sq ft to 532 sq ft spread across five acres. The price of th­ese units start at ₹ 21 lakh.

“With the gover nment fo­cus­ing on af­ford­able hous­ing and pro­vid­ing in­cen­tives to de­vel­op­ers in the form of no li­cense fee and re­lax­ation in terms of ex­ter­nal de­vel­op­ment charges, this for­mat will call the shots go­ing for­ward. We will be launch­ing one more pro­ject in the same for­mat,” says Ankit Goel, director, Sun City Projects.

“Our plans are sanc­tioned and con­struc­tion will be­gin after the draw. We hope to fin­ish the pro­ject in three­and-a-half years,” Goel adds.
