Ideal for taking the plunge and buying a house
The Ideal Home Tour provides prospective homebuyers and investors a unique opportunity to explore the realty market
Initiated by the Hindustan Times to help homebuyers find their dream homes, the recent Ideal Home Tour organised on December 5 and 6 received an overwhelming response from endusers as well as investors. More than a hundred homebuyers from various parts of Delhi NCR visited the projects of three prominent developers — SARE Homes, SS Group and Vatika Group — in the upcoming sectors of Gurgaon.
Ideal Home Tour is a unique concept inviting HT readers to join a tour of a particular real estate destination in Delhi NCR on the scheduled weekend. Based on their convenience, property buyers get to choose the day and inform the HT’s Ideal Home Tour team through an SMS. The team then makes arrangements for the prospective buyer to visit the project sites. The buyers are under no compulsion to book any flat as the purpose of the tour is to inform them about the various options available to them in the market. Every visitor is served breakfast and lunch before being dropped back at home.
A series of Ideal Home Tours have been organised in the past in Noida and Gurgaon. The recently concluded edition had visitors taking interest in various options available in SARE Homes, SS Group and Vatika Group in Gurgaon.
Vinod Kumar, who works as a director in Topsel Private Limited, says, “I stay in DLF Phase IV in Gurgaon in a company-owned flat and I am desperately looking for an apartment.”
He chose to spend last weekend visiting various projects such as Vatika India Next, a township by Vatika Group in Sector 82; SARE Crescent ParC, a township by SARE Homes in Sector 92 and The Leaf, a residential project launched by SS Group.
“After taking the tour, I realised that my budget is low for a readyto-move flat in the upcoming residential projects in Gurgaon. While SARE’s and SS Group’s projects are under-construction, Vatika India Next offered me a ground floor which was unfortunately not within my budget,” Kumar says.
Sanjay Srivastava, an advocate who resides in Sector 62, Noida, and who chose the Ideal Home Tour in Gurgaon to check out investment options there. “I am quite happy that my investment needs have been taken care of. It was very convenient for me to look at all these projects as I didn’t have to bother about commuting from Noida to Gurgaon. I am quite interested in both SARE Homes’ and SS Group’s projects and hopefully I will finalise a deal soon.”
Anil Goswami, a resident of Sector 25, Noida, says, “The tour was very well-managed. It helps homebuyers choose their dream home. Executives from real estate companies showed us around the projects and explained all the features."
Another end-user VN Awasthi, a retired government officer, who resides in Sushant Lok I, says that he wants to invest his provident fund money in a 3BHK flat and his budget is around ₹ 1 crore.
Happy with the initiative, Vineet Relia, managing director, SARE Homes , says “Our participation in the HT Ideal Home Tour has been a valuable experience. Given the current real estate market, the positive response from prospective buyers across Delhi-NCR during the site visits at SARE Crescent ParC Sector 92, Gurgaon, reinstates a strong demand in the housing segment. The association offered us a great chance to interact with the visiting families and understand their requirements during house hunting. The essential idea was to provide homebuyers a memorable house hunting experience. We would look forward to participate in more such initiatives in the future.”
Vishesh Rawat, vice-president, marketing, SS Group, says, “I am surprised to see so many serious buyers turning up. We are hoping that some of these visitors will turn into actual buyers. Also, since the market has already bottomed out, I think they know that it’s the best time to strike a right deal,” he says.
