What is the Dwarka Ex­press­way? The 18 km Dwarka Ex­press­way was planned in 2006 to de­con­gest Gur­gaon by pro­vid­ing an al­ter­na­tive to NH8. The 14 km stretch is com­plete but work on a four km stretch re­mains. On the Delhi side work on the 9 km stretch is yet to be­gin How will na­tional high­way sta­tus help? Ac­qui­si­tion of land will be­come eas­ier on both sides once Sec­tion 3 (d) of the Na­tional High­ways Act is no­ti­fied. Sec­tion 3 (a) calls for ap­point­ment of a com­pe­tent au­thor­ity for land ac­qui­si­tion on be­half of the gov­ern­ment of In­dia To­tal res­i­den­tial stock: There are as many as one lakh res­i­den­tial units com­ing up along Dwarka Ex­press­way spread across at least 80 projects. Con­struc­tion is cur­rently in progress in sec­tors 37 C, 37 D, 10.2, 102 A, 103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 110A and 111 Sta­tus check: NHAI has not yet re­ceived a for­mal com­mu­ni­ca­tion from the min­istry of trans­port. NHAI ex­pects to get the no­ti­fi­ca­tion any day now. It will take an­other three to four months to get the spec­i­fi­ca­tions, the project re­port through and an­other four or five months to bid it out, get­ting a con­trac­tor to do the work etc Prop­erty val­u­a­tions: Most res­i­den­tial projects in the area were launched at ₹ 3,750 per sq ft and the cur­rent value of projects in be­low ₹ 6,000 per sq ft. Prices in this mar­ket al­most dou­bled in 2012-2014 but are ex­pected to re­main sta­ble go­ing for­ward
