LUDHIANA: The National Ser­vice Scheme ( NSS) op­er­at­ing in dif­fer­ent col­leges of Pun­jab Agri­cul­tural Univer­sity cel­e­brated the NSS day on the var­sity cam­pus.

The di­rec­tor stu­dent’s wel­fare Dr DS Cheema presided over the func­tion while district and ses­sion judge SP Ban­garh was the guest of hon­our.

Ban­garh said, “ One must be aware about one’s rights and du­ties. He also spoke about le­gal lit­er­acy in youth.”

Additional district at­tor­ney Ritu Jain in­tro­duced the par­tic­i­pants about the pro­grammes and ac­tiv­i­ties of National Le­gal Ser­vices Au­thor­ity.

The NSS vol­un­teers par­tic­i­pat­ing in the pro­gramme were ed­u­cated about the traf­fic rules by Jag­mel Singh, head con­sta­ble, traf­fic ed­u­ca­tion cell.

Dr Cheema thanked the speak­ers and said; “The NSS vol­un­teers should con­trib­ute to the so­cial cause and the wel­fare of oth­ers as per their motto ‘Not me but you’.”
