DAV’s unending corridor of uncertainty
CHANDIGARH: Drama continued at the local DAV College as BC Josan assumed office as principal on Monday. As the principal's office was locked, Josan chose to officiate from the corridor outside the office.
The DAV College Managing Committee had lodged a complaint with the police against Josan, who on Saturday had locked the principal's room. Josan was later made to hand over the key to the college in the presence of the Sector 3 SHO on Sunday.
According to sources, the management has directed the college not to open the office until principal Shashi Gupta, who is on medical leave, resumes work.
During his stay of more than three hours at the college, Josan got a chair and a table placed in the corridor and officiated from there. However, most of the faculty and other staff members stayed away in order to avoid controversy.
Josan said he would continue to function from the corridor till the time the college opened the office room. He said he had given the joining report to the college, which had been forwarded to the management in Delhi.
