‘WORK TOGETHER TO KEEP BADAL OUT OF POWER’
LUDHIANA: In the assembly elections due early next year, all panthic groups must afloat a common party to defeat Shiromani Akali Dal ( SAD), said Parmjit Singh Sarna, president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
He was in the city to participate in a programme organised to honour the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Commiittee (SGPC) candidates of Panthic Morcha on Wednesday.
He said Panthic Morcha, including SAD Amritsar, had got 14.3% votes in the SGPC elections and would play crucial role in the assembly election.
Sarna said they were even ready to forge an alliance with Manpreet Singh Badal to keep the Badals out of power.
He also accused chief minister Parkash Singh Badal for misusing state machinery in the SGPC elections to ensure the victory of Shiromani Akali Dal candidates.
Other prominent leaders of the morcha, Manjit Singh Calcutta, Mohkam Singh and Jaswinder Singh Baliawal were also present.
