Sew­er­age spillover irks res­i­dents

DO­RAHA: Res­i­dents of more than 100 houses of Ward No. 11 here have been com­plain­ing against bad sew­er­age in the area, which has been blocked for the last three months due to govern­ment ap­a­thy.

Talk­ing to Hin­dus­tan Times, In­der­jit Singh, a res­i­dent of the area, said, “From the last three months, the sew­er­age has been blocked due to the over­flow and res­i­dents have to bear with the stink.”

He fur­ther said that ev­ery week, the res­i­dents go to the au­thor­i­ties and reg­is­ter their com­plaints but noth­ing has been done in this re­gard.

Renu Sharma, an­other res­i­dent, said, “ The au­thor­i­ties have turned a deaf ear to our prob­lem, which is com­pletely gen­uine.”
