PCMS association continues strike on day 2
FATEHGARH SAHIB: On the call of PCMS association, Fatehgarh Sahib, doctors of Civil Hospital, observed a strike for two hours for the second consecutive day on Tuesday against ‘indifferent’ attitude of the state government. Health services except emergency were paralysed due to the strike. District president Dr Manwinder Singh Walia said that Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal had accepted the demands of doctors, but the notification was not issued is this regard so they have been forced to launch the protest. He added, “The agitation will continue till the demands of the doctor are not accepted.” General secretary Dr Aaswant Kaur, Dr Nirvair Singh, Dr Satnam Singh, Dr Purshotam Dass, Dr Jagjit Singh, Dr Parminderjit Singh, and Dr Preetjot Kaur also expressed their views during the protest.
