PCMS as­so­ci­a­tion con­tin­ues strike on day 2

FATE­HGARH SAHIB: On the call of PCMS as­so­ci­a­tion, Fate­hgarh Sahib, doc­tors of Civil Hos­pi­tal, ob­served a strike for two hours for the sec­ond con­sec­u­tive day on Tues­day against ‘in­dif­fer­ent’ at­ti­tude of the state govern­ment. Health ser­vices ex­cept emer­gency were paral­ysed due to the strike. District pres­i­dent Dr Man­winder Singh Walia said that Pun­jab chief min­is­ter Parkash Singh Badal had ac­cepted the de­mands of doc­tors, but the no­ti­fi­ca­tion was not is­sued is this re­gard so they have been forced to launch the protest. He added, “The ag­i­ta­tion will con­tinue till the de­mands of the doc­tor are not ac­cepted.” Gen­eral sec­re­tary Dr Aaswant Kaur, Dr Nir­vair Singh, Dr Sat­nam Singh, Dr Pur­shotam Dass, Dr Jagjit Singh, Dr Par­min­der­jit Singh, and Dr Preetjot Kaur also ex­pressed their views dur­ing the protest.
