Farmer-scientist interface at PAU
LUDHIANA: A two- day farmerscientist interface will be organised jointly by Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University ( GADVASU) on Tuesday at Borlaug Wheat Auditorium of the university.
Punjab chief secretary SC Aggarwal will inaugurate the exhibition and chair the technical session on ‘ Innovative Technologies for Sustainable Agriculture’.
Financial commissioner of Animal Husbandry Dairy and Fisheries GS Sandhu and financial commissioner (development), Punjab, NS Kang will co-chair the session, while PAU vice-chancellor Baldev Singh Dhillon will chair the plenary session.
Besides, the technical sessions on ‘horticulture’, ‘live stock and fisheries’, ‘crop improvement’, ‘farm power and machinery’, ‘diversification’ and ‘secondary agriculture’ will also take place.
During the programme, the PAU experts will equip the farmers with the latest technological practices for efficient farm management and improved economics. In the technical sessions, the farmers will represent their views on the technology innovation and needs.
