Ramgarhia college organises annual prize distribution
LUDHIANA: The annual prize distribution function of Ramgarhia Girls College, Miller Ganj, was held in the college auditorium on Tuesday. As many as 300 students from different streams were awarded prizes for their excellent performances in academics, sports and extra-curricular activities.
President of Ramgarhia Educational Council Ranjodh Singh welcomed chief guest Ashok Arora, former secretary of Supreme Court Bar Association.
While addressing the students, Arora imparted tips to them on how to improve concentration and confidence.
He cited examples from everyday life to emphasise the importance of discipline in life.
" Optimism and self- love are essential to growth and instill the spirit of pride in oneself," he said.
Arora got nostalgic and remembered his college days and commented on the significant improvement in the position of women these days.

Congratulating the prizewinners Singh said there was a spark of creativity and excellence in each student, which they should explore and trigger to exploit it to the maximum.
While addressing the gathering, principal Narinder Sandhu lauded the efforts put in by the students for making the college proud.
She highlighted the various academics, cultural and sports achievements of the college.
She also informed the guests about the achievements of the students in the 'inter-zonal youth and heritage festival', which was held at the college.
She advised the students to work hard and excel in the final exams.
