Po­ets from across the world to at­tend mushaira on March 3

LUD­HI­ANA: Adeeb In­ter­na­tional in as­so­ci­a­tion with Nehru Sid­hant Ken­dre Trust, Lud­hi­ana, will or­gan­ise the 40th An­nual Jashn-e-sahir on March 3. The event will be held at Panday Au­di­to­rium of Nehru Sid­hant Ken­dre, Feroze Gandhi Mar­ket.

Ke­wal Dheer, chair­per­son, Adeeb In­ter­na­tional, said Bushra Rah­man, novelist, po­et­ess and mem­ber of Pak­istan na­tional assem­bly will be the chief guest. Rehman, who was ear­lier pre­sented the An­nual Adeeb Award, will be con­ferred with the ti­tle 'Malka-e-sukhan'.

The in­ter­na­tional mushaira will have po­ets from across the world. Farhat Perveen ( Amer­ica), Gul­shan Khanna (UK), Ra­hat Indori (Mum­bai), Ra­jesh Reddy ( Mum­bai), Man­zar Bhopali (Bhopal), Agha Sarosh ( Hy­der­abad), Ab­dul Rehman (Delhi), Haseeb Soz (Ut­tar Pradesh), Wasim Ma­lik (Su­rat), Shahid Mahuli (Delhi), Moein Shadab (Delhi), Mekash Am­rohi (Ut­tar Pradesh), Jas­bir Daver ( Gu­jarat) and Zero Wandbi are ex­pected to par­tic­i­pate.

This year, the An­nual Sahir Awards will be con­ferred upon Ab­dal Bela di­rec­tor gen­eral, Pak­istan Academy of Let­ters, Islamabad, and Ash­faq Hus­sain, di­rec­tor of Asia Tele­vi­sion from Canada.

The An­nual Adeeb Awards will be pre­sented to A Rah­man, chair­per­son, In­ter­na­tional Urdu Trust, Delhi, Amar Varma, chair­per­son, Star Publi­ca­tions, Delhi, and Ra­jesh Badal, ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor, Ra­jyasabha Tele­vi­sion, Delhi, for their con­tri­bu­tion in the fields of lit­er­a­ture, arts and cul­ture.
