Ghumar Mandi area of the city is choking due to wrongly parked vehicles and makeshift encroachments done by the shopkeepers on roadsides.

There are frequent traffic jams in the area due to the roadside makeshift encroachments. The municipal corporation authorities have failed to clear the area of encroachments despite the fact that mdia has been highlighting the issue.

After the team leavers the area, the encroachments surface again,” stated the members of the committee in their letter.

MC commissioner Rakesh Kumar Verma had earlier told HT that the tehbazari wing lacked infrastructure. He has also said that the MC would workout a permanent solution to deal with the problem.
