The in­dus­try has faced nu­mer­ous chal­lenges over the last 12-15 months. With cus­tomers mov­ing on­line and be­com­ing more de­mand­ing in terms of choice and price, a mar­gin squeeze has been ob­served. Along­side this came the re­cent GST im­ple­men­ta­tion, be­cause of which it has be­come rather dif­fi­cult for busi­nesses to sus­tain them­selves let along think growth.

The CEO Megapolis ses­sion de­bated how given this ac­cel­er­at­ing rate of change can food re­tail­ers stay rel­e­vant to­day and into the next decade.
