New Rs 200 currency note launched
A new denomination of Rs 200 currency notes entered the banking system last month. In a communication late last month, the RBI said the new currency denomination and design would help in bettering transactions, replacing soiled banknotes,
battling inflation as well as combating counterfeiting. The new note is yellowishorange in colour. For the visually impaired, the new note will have an intaglio or raised printing of the Mahatma Gandhi portrait, Ashoka Pillar emblem and
the raised identification mark H with micro-text Rs 200.
