E er­cise Chakravyuh-II Cul­mi­nates

SURATGARH , RA­JASTHAN. In a fol­low up to ‘ Ex­er­cise Sha­tru­jeet’ by the Strike Corps ( Strike One) last month, the pivot for­ma­tions held the fort­night- long mil­i­tary train­ing ex­er­cise co­de­named “Ex­er­cise CHAKRAVYUH- II” which con­cluded May 10 in the gen­eral area of Suratgarh in Ra­jasthan.

The ex­er­cise con­cep­tu­alised by the Pivot Corps in­volved rapid mobilisation and ex­e­cu­tion of plans in sync with the In­dian Air Force (IAF) in desert ter­rain and was de­clared a suc­cess. The ex­er­cise val­i­dated the bat­tle readi­ness and op­er­a­tional ef­fec­tive­ness of the RAPID Di­vi­sion along with all its af­fil­i­ated com­po­nents.

The two- sided ex­er­cise had el­e­ments de­pict­ing op­pos­ing forces to add re­al­ism in plan­ning and ex­e­cu­tion and was con­ducted in var­i­ous phases to test the op­er­a­tional readi­ness and the bat­tle ef­fi­ciency of var­i­ous el­e­ments of the mod­ern day bat­tle field.

Lieu­tenant Gen­era l DR Soni, Gen­eral Of­fi­cer Com­mand­ing, Pivot Corps wit­nessed the op­er­a­tional ma­noeu­vres of the Di­vi­sion on May 9 and ap­pre­ci­ated the sol­diers for their com­mit­ment and keen in­volve­ment through the month long train­ing ex­er­cise.
