EF­FEC­TIVE Septem­ber 1, Jo­han Klint­berg has been ap­pointed CEO of the com­pany Saab Dig­i­tal Air Traf­fic So­lu­tions. On June 29, de­fence and se­cu­rity com­pany Saab and the Swedish Air Nav­i­ga­tion Ser­vice Provider LFV had signed an agree­ment to es­tab­lish a new com­pany: Saab Dig­i­tal Air Traf­fic So­lu­tions AB with Saab as the ma­jor­ity owner. "Dig­i­tal Air Traf­fic Con­trol is in a very in­ter­est­ing phase with great global at­ten­tion and I am con­vinced that Jo­han Klint­berg, with his solid lead­er­ship ex­pe­ri­ence and busi­ness acu­men, will take our lead­ing po­si­tion on the mar­ket to the next level,” says An­ders Carp, head of Saab’s busi­ness unit Traf­fic Man­age­ment.

Saab and LFV in part­ner­ship have ini­ti­ated the world's first sys­tem for re­mote- con­trolled, dig­i­tal air traf­fic con­trol - Re­mote Tower. The sys­tem is a vi­tal driv­ing-force be­hind con­tin­ued in­no­va­tive, dig­i­tal de­vel­op­ment within air traf­fic con­trol.

Jo­han Klint­berg was em­ployed by Saab ten years ago and has held a num­ber of po­si­tions within the com­pany, most re­cently he was Head of the Busi­ness Unit Main­te­nance and Re­pair Op­er­a­tions (MRO) within Sup­port & Ser­vices. Dur­ing his time at Saab, he has been in­volved in a num­ber of suc­cess­ful in­ter­na­tional busi­ness ac­tiv­i­ties span­ning across Saabs prod­uct port­fo­lio.
