AAI, DRDO and Govt of Jharkhand Sign Tri­par­tite MoU for Devt of Deoghar Air­port

NEW DELHI. Air­ports Au­thor­ity of Ind ia ( AAI), De­fence Re­search and De­vel­op­ment Or­gan­i­sa­tion (DRDO) and Govern­ment of Jharkhand signed a tri­par­tite MoU for de­vel­op­ment of Deoghar Air­port in Deoghar dis­trict of Jharkhand.

The ex­ist­ing Deoghar Air­port would be de­vel­oped for op­er­a­tions of A- 320 and C-130 Air­craft. The sign­ing of MoU took place in a cer­e­mony held at the Chief Min­is­ter’s res­i­dence in Ranchi, the state cap­i­tal of Jharkhand.

The Govern­ment of Jharkhand has ac­quired 600.34 acres of land which will be handed over to AAI apart from the ex­ist­ing 53.41 acres Deoghar Air­port land. The time frame given to de­velop and op­er­a­tionalise the Deoghar Air­port is two years.

Jharkhand Chief Min­is­ter Raghubar Das, Min­is­ter of State for Civil Avi­a­tion Jayant Sinha and Min­is­ter of Trans­port, Govt of Jharkhand CP Singh, graced the oc­ca­sion.
