Bharat Dy­nam­ics Signs MoU with Depart­ment of De­fence Pro­duc­tion

NEW DELHI. Bharat Dy­nam­ics Lim­ited (BDL), a mini­ratna De­fence Pub­lic Sec­tor Un­der­tak­ing (DPSU) has signed a Mem­o­ran­dum of Un­der­stand­ing ( MoU) with the Min­istry of De­fence for the fi­nan­cial year 2017-18, a Gov­ern­ment press state­ment said July 18.

The MoU, which was signed be­tween Sec­re­tary ( De­fence Pro­duc­tion) Mr AK Gupta on be­half of the Min­istry of De­fence and the Chair­man and Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor (CMD), BDL Mr V Udaya Bhaskar out­lines tar­gets and var­i­ous per­for­mance pa­ram­e­ters for BDL for the year 2017-18.

The rev­enue from op­er­a­tions, as per the MoU, has been tar­geted at Rs 5,300 crore, which is an in­crease of 20 per cent over the pre­vi­ous year. BDL has planned to spend an amount of Rs 140 crore for mod­erni­sa­tion and Cap­i­tal ex­pen­di­ture.

BDL has also drawn a roadmap to meet its sched­uled de­liv­ery of ATGM and SAM to its cus­tomers for the year 2017-18. Con­tin­u­ing with its green ini­tia­tive, BDL has planned 5 MW So­lar Plant at its up­com­ing unit at lbrahim­pat­nam in Te­lan­gana.

A sub­stan­tial em­pha­sis has been made on R& D by the com­pany in pur­suit of its sel­f­re­liance. De­sign and de­vel­op­ment of Ad­vanced Data Field Loader is planned for the year 2017-18.
