Chief executive of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation discusses plans for India.
We already have over 90 Indian schools involved in our global multi-faith programme, and just a couple of weeks ago we launched our young leadership programme, the faiths act fellows, in India for the first time. The idea is to have young people of different faiths work together in pairs to help achieve the millennium development goals. They bring together different communities to do practical work for their fellow citizens. At present we are working with eight international universities and would like to expand in India also. The university faith and globalisation initiative is based around multidisciplinary courses, academic research and publications, and public events.
