From go-karting to motor racing, Chirag Malhotra has come a long way in the last eight years. Yet, this is just the beginning. Malhotra is the only Indian at the Formula Renault Winter Cup in UK this year. In motor racing circuits, this championship is considered to be the foundation for legendary drivers. He has had podium positions in various rounds of the JK Tyre National Racing Championship in 2009.

THE JOURNEY What started off as just an adrenaline rush with go-karting at the age of 12 turned into an enduring passion and profession for the youngster who has never even imagined an alternative vocation. Earlier this year, he began studying motorsport technology at HIBT, an associate college of University of Hertfordshire. Malhotra admits to being blown away when he began racing in the UK. “Technologically advanced cars, professional approach and everything just 10 times better than in India,” he says.
