It doesn’t pay to pick a fight with the West Bengal Chief Minister. The Diamond Bottling Plant Company of Dishergarh, near Asansol, found out the hard way when they placed an advertisement in local newspapers on November 6, using the Chief Minister’s photograph to announce the foundation ceremony. Banerjee found the embarrassment too much and got the father-son promoters of the plant, Kallol and Kripan Mukherjee, arrested by the police for not taking permission from her office. The duo have been remanded to 14 days in jail custody. We don’t know what has become of Law Minister and local MLA Moloy Ghatak who was the chief guest at the ceremony.
