Nationalist Congress Party ( NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has appointed a private agency to monitor the functioning of his party’s ministers in Maharashtra. He presented the agency’s first report to his startled colleagues at a party meeting held in Mumbai on November 7, with details of Ajit Pawar’s expenses on a tour of Vidarbha and Chhagan Bhujbal’s attendance at the Mantralaya. Pawar would have read out more had Praful Patel not stopped him. Alas.
