RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
New Karnataka Chief Minister has rung in numerous changes
The day he took the oath of office, Gowda’s wife and son told the media that they will never interfere in administration. Yeddyurappa’s sons and son-in-law were notorious for exerting influence on others.
On the Road
Gowda announced that he would take the train and road to travel all over Karnataka instead of using a helicopter like Yeddyurappa.
Out with the Old
The Chief Minister also took off Yeddyurappa’s photographs from ambulances run by the 108 service.
Nothing to Hide
Emulating Kerala’s Oommen Chandy, Gowda has installed cameras in the chief minister’s office at the state secretariat and his official residence.
Gowda has also brought in an ordinance for timely delivery of services like Bihar’s Nitish Kumar.
