Bhan­wri Devi may have signed her own death war­rant the mo­ment she dared to black­mail one of Ra­jasthan’s most pow­er­ful politi­cians. For more than a year, po­lit­i­cal cir­cles, both in Jodh­pur and Jaipur, had been whis­per­ing about a sex CD that starred Mahipal Maderna, then a Cabi­net min­is­ter, wear­ing noth­ing but his wrist watch, caught in a com­pro­mis­ing po­si­tion with Bhan­wri.
