Tucked away in what used to be a colo­nial house in Versova, Tribal Route repli­cates a mini tribal vil­lage. An­tique fur­ni­ture, cook­ing stove and atta chakki are scat­tered around the porch of a tribal hut. Hand­i­craft items from across the coun­try are show­cased here. A frog, Tribal Route’s quirky mas­cot finds a prom­i­nent place in the store along with pen stands, mugs, toys and even ash­trays in the shape of the green am­phib­ian. Other col­lectibles in­clude can­dle stands, lanterns, Mad­hubani paint­ings and T-shirts made of or­ganic cotton.
