She is the per­son be­hind Ka­reena Kapoor’s size zero avatar in Tashan (2008), which shocked au­di­ences. Meet Ru­juta Di­wekar, who is now pop­u­larly re­ferred to as a celebrity nutri­tion­ist with her high pro­file clien­tele, in­clud­ing in­dus­tri­al­ist Anil Am­bani, ac­tors Pre­ity Zinta, Konkona Sen Sharma and Saif Ali Khan.

FIRST BREAK Af­ter com­plet­ing post grad­u­a­tion in sports sci­ence and nu­tri­tion from SNDT col­lege, Di­wekar bagged her first client—film­maker David Dhawan’s wife Karuna Dhawan. Later, Karuna in­tro­duced her to Ka­reena Kapoor. Di­wekar’s pop­u­lar­ity grew with the hype around Ka­reena’s ex­treme weight loss. Di­wekar de­cided to end the con­tro­versy by writ­ing her first book in 2009— Don't Lose your Mind, Lose Your Weight. “I had to clear the air around the hype and tell my side of the story,” she ex­plains. In Jan­uary this year, her sec­ond book, Women & The Weight Loss Tamasha was re­leased in both English and Marathi.
