Quitting a job is often like a bad break- up. Like in the end of every relationship, there are unresolved issues, bitter phone calls ( to HR) and dramatic letters ( resignations). You can’t really avoid the heartbreak but you can make a smooth exit by keeping things professional. Don’t leave any mental baggage, end office skirmishes on a good note and learn to let go of your duties bit by bit.
