Help your kids draw up a fun- filled holiday calendar this summer

With the sun blazing down and the annual vacations lazily stretching out over the next two months, it’s time to let your kids forget about their homework and bring on the fun factor. Before they begin to settle down in front of the idiot- box for a re- run of old cartoons, check out some of these great options to keep them up and running, and having a terrific time while doing so.

ALCHEMY KIDS

This group has been actively working in the area of personality development and talent promotion through the art of theatre for over five years in the city. They offer various courses throughout the year— both individually and in collaboration with various schools and organisations. “We have full day camps and we aim at the creative and communicative develop- ment of children,” says Vijay Vishwanathan of Alchemy Kids. The course includes the folk dance form— Therukoothu from South India and Bhangra from North India. Children can also sign up for theatre classes that include stage play and mime, puppetry and creative visualisation, photo reporting and anchoring events. All the activities in the camp will be taught in a playful manner to make it interesting for children and is

slated to be a whole lot of fun. It will culminate in a grand finale at an auditorium where kids who have learnt particular skills will showcase their talent.
