An ini­tia­tive by the GoetheIn­sti­tut and Hip­pocam­pus Chil­dren’s Com­pany, Camp Yakaboo is a li­brary that func­tions as an open and safe public space for chil­dren and teens to learn. Apart from en­cour­ag­ing read­ing habits in chil­dren, Camp Yakaboo of­fers a va­ri­ety of work­shops rang­ing from story telling and travel ex­pe­ri­ence camps for three to fiveyear- olds. Choose from sci­ence, fit­ness and bak­ing classes for six to eight year olds and public speak­ing, ra­dio jock­ey­ing and photo jour­nal­ism for kids who are nine years and older. HIGH­LIGHTS The ra­dio jock­ey­ing and photo jour­nal­ism work­shops are con­ducted by pro­fes­sion­als from their re­spec­tive fields and chil­dren will be ex­posed to out­door ac­tiv­i­ties giv­ing them hands- on ex­pe­ri­ence.
