Oiling the body regularly helps blood circulation, opens up pores and throws toxics out of the body. Ayurveda also recommends it on a daily basis for good health and longevity. To make the oil at home, take a muslin or thin cotton cloth and put a handful of sesame seeds into it. Roll the cloth to make a tight ball and put it on a steamer. Steam the ball for five to 10 minutes and massage the body with this ball. The oil that comes from it works as an excellent moisturiser for the skin. Don’t take a shower for at least two hours after this massage so that the effect of the oil isn’t lost.
