India Today - - SIMPLY CHENNAI -

At a time when most people would rather shoot off an email than pen down a letter, this store that just sells ‘ luxury writing instruments’ makes for a charming, nostalgic visit. From classic quill pens to instruments that can write in space, this store is a unique setup. The store’s star product is ‘ Shri Ganesh’ – a fountain pen by Sailor, with a 21 karat gold nib. This limited edition pen has been delicately crafted with precious metal powders of gold, abalone and silver and the Ganesha has been hand- drawn by the Japanese maki- e artist Kosen Oshita. Then there are the Fisher space pens that are sold here that make for a great collectible and are a guaranteed conversation starter. With an anti- gravity technology that enables them to write in space, these pens were first developed by Paul Fisher in 1965 for NASA. For lovers of art, the Rubinato series offers exquisite calligraphy sets and classic quill pens. Also available here are 23 different shades of rich, smooth fountain pen inks by Private Reserve.
