CHANDA

KOCHHAR

Not only did she fight ( and win) one of the toughest succession battles in corporate India, Kochhar also steered ICICI through the economic recession

RENUKA RAMNATH

As “queen of private equity” Ramnath took ICICI Ventures into new investment territory. She quit in 2009 to start Multiples Alternate Asset Management that has notched up Rs 2000 crore in PE funds.

KALPANA MORPARIA

From corporate lawyer to corporate leader, Morparia was snapped up by JP Morgan as their India CEO soon after she retired as JMD from ICICI, where she’d spent 30 years.

LALITA

GUPTE

The ICICI veteran retired as JMD in 2006. In charge of international business, Gupte’s banking prowess landed her a coveted spot on the boards of Alstom and Nokia in 2010.

SHIKHA SHARMA

She may have lost out on the top job at ICICI to Kochhar but clearly that’s now water under the bridge. Sharma rakes in a cool Rs 2 crore a year as MD and CEO of Axis Bank.
