Manuben’s di­aries were with her at Mahuva till her death in 1969. She told her fa­ther Jaisukhlal that the di­aries be handed over to Meena Jain, daugh­ter of her sis­ter Sanyuk­taben.

The Mum­bai- based Meera Jain de­cided to keep them in her fam­ily bun­ga­low at Rewa in Mad­hya Pradesh. 3 In 2010, Var­sha Das, the then di­rec­tor of National Gandhi Mu­seum in Delhi and a child­hood friend of Jain, went to Rewa on her re­quest and brought the di­aries to Delhi to be de­posited with the National Ar­chives.
