The Flying Elephant is a restaurant of stories. At The Park Hyatt, they call it a ‘ home within a home’. The whole property has been designed by designer George Wong and The Flying Elephant is the most stunning creation of it. It dramatically expands over seven vertical levels, and has five open, interactive kitchens on each level, serving different cuisines. The restaurant is open only for dinner and despite its magnitude it is unintimidating and warm. “You know the success of a meal when you see it being enjoyed by a group of people,” says Megha Balasubramanian, Chef- de- Cuisine. The menu features Indian, Turkish, Western and Southeast Asian cuisines. The Wild Mushroom Bruschetta is a great way to start, as is the Galouti kebab. If you love seafood, try the Teppan fried tiger prawns with cherry tomatoes, caperberries, caramelised lemon and arugula. For dessert, make sure to try the Tiramisu and Fruit Pavlova. The portions are generous and the flavours take you on a sweet high.
