Spend a day at the Seren­ity Li­brary. Spread across 40,000 sq. me­tres, this botan­i­cal gar­den and a na­ture li­brary is open to chil­dren four year old and above as well as adults. Here, you can keep your­self busy gar­den­ing, lis­ten­ing to sto­ries in the green­ery, and ex­plor­ing crit­ters and crea­tures on na­ture trails. You can even cook in their well equipped kitchen. De­signed by Kamal Man­gal­das, a renowned Ahmed­abad- based ar­chi­tect and French ar­chi­tect Bernard Kohn, this place also has two ponds and a beau­ti­ful but­ter­fly gar­den. A large num­ber of in­dige­nous trees at­tract a lot of birds and you can spot pea­cock, cuck­oos, dron­gos, par­rots among the over 120 species. They also have 800 species of trees and plants and a seed li­brary along with a col­lec­tion of over 3000 books, jour­nals, mag­a­zines and doc­u­men­taries on the en­vi­ron­ment adds to the knowl­edge pool of this in­sti­tu­tion.
