The SUV is the only seg­ment that has shown some prom­ise this year. Whether it was the Toy­ota For­tuner with its im­pos­ing pres­ence or the Ford EcoSport with its com­pact size, the Re­nault Duster with its ef­fi­cient en­gines or the Mercedes M- class with its looks and ca­pa­bil­ity, SUVS seem to be rak­ing it in. Even home­grown SUVS like the Mahin­dra XUV500 started off with a bang prompt­ing man­u­fac­tur­ers to speed up their plans of launch­ing new SUVS.
