India Today - - THE BIG STORY -

FAMILY

Wife Rabri Devi can be promoted as working president.

Younger son Tejashwi Yadav, 24, is clearly Lalu’s heir apparent, but is too young to take charge. Older son Tej Pratap, 26, does not inspire confidence.

Eldest daughter Dr Misa Bharti, 38, is tipped to stand from one of the two Lok Sabha seats Lalu fought in 2009, and has the nous and ambition to take charge.

PARTY

Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, former Union minister and current Lok Sabha MP from Vaishali, is highly respected and may be asked to lead, but is said to be against Rabri.

Abdul Bari Siddiqui, RJD leader in Bihar Assembly, is its Muslim face, and may be asked to lead RJD’s campaign committee.
