Stan­ford Grad­u­ate School of Busi­ness has launched its first part- time Stan­ford Ig­nite cer­tifi­cate pro­gramme in in­no­va­tion and en­trepreneur­ship in Ban­ga­lore. Aimed at non­busi­ness tech­ni­cal pro­fes­sion­als, the pro­gramme em­ploys Stan­ford GSB pro­fes­sors on- the- ground as well as vis­it­ing fac­ulty from Sil­i­con Val­ley who will in­ter­act with stu­dents via high- def­i­ni­tion ed­u­ca­tional tech­nol­ogy. The course aims to teach in­no­va­tors in In­dia how to for­mu­late, de­velop, and com­mer­cialise their ideas. This is the first, part- time, non- de­gree pro­gramme in in­no­va­tion and en­trepreneur­ship to be of­fered out­side of Stan­ford, The pro­gramme has al­ready en­rolled 41 pro­fes­sion­als . “For this first foray away from our home cam­pus we are lever­ag­ing tech­nol­ogy to bring our world- class fac­ulty into the class­room with the so­phis­ti­cated tech­no­log­i­cal ca­pa­bil­i­ties of our host, In­fosys,” said Yossi Fein­berg, fac­ulty di­rec­tor of Stan­ford Ig­nite and the John G. McCoy- Banc One Pro­fes­sor of Eco­nom­ics at Stan­ford GSB.

Course du­ra­tion: The course will take place over nine weeks at the In­fosys cor­po­rate cam­pus in Ban­ga­lore.
